SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes scripts (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill provides a mechanical, digit-by-digit display for numeric values, perfect for stopwatch and odometer designs, offering a distinct look compared to smooth value interpolation.

Core Features & Use Cases

Digit Wipe Animation: Animates each digit sliding in vertically to replace the previous one.
Customization: Adjustable for different sequences, hold frames, wipe frames, and font properties.
Use Case: When creating a digital timer in a sports broadcast, this Skill can provide a stylized numeric display for the elapsed time.

Quick Start

Use the numeral-roller skill to generate a 12-digit display for a stopwatch, starting with '012345678910', set to hold each digit for 20 frames and wipe for 4 frames.

Frequently Asked Questions about numeral-roller

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I create mechanical digit animations for an odometer or stopwatch display?▼

You can customize digit wipe animations by adjusting hold frames, wipe frames, and font properties to control sequence timing and achieve visual balance for each digit in the numeric display.

What is digit wipe animation versus smooth value interpolation for numeric displays?▼

Digit wipe animation produces a mechanical, discrete digit-by-digit transition for numeric displays, offering a distinct visual style compared to smooth value interpolation that morphs numbers fluidly.

Can I adjust the hold frames and wipe frames for a numeric display sequence?▼

Yes, you can customize hold frames and wipe frames for numeric display sequences, allowing precise control over how long each digit holds before sliding out and how many frames the wipe transition takes.

What's the best way to animate a multi-digit countdown timer for a sports broadcast?▼

To animate a multi-digit countdown timer for a sports broadcast, use a mechanical digit wipe to slide each digit vertically into place, applying linear easing to ensure balanced visual timing across the sequence.

Does the digit wipe animation require linear easing for each digit?▼

Yes, the digit wipe animation requires linear easing and visual balance for each digit in the sequence to maintain the mechanical, discrete transition style characteristic of stopwatch and odometer displays.
