Frequently Asked Questions about nw-design-methodology

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I translate discovery research into journey design artifacts?▼

Journey design artifacts translate discovery research into structured schemas and visual maps. This methodology automates that translation, applying a four-phase workflow to generate visual journey maps, emotional arcs, and TUI mockups from raw discovery inputs.

What is an emotional arc pattern in product design workflows?▼

An emotional arc pattern maps user sentiment across a product journey. This methodology generates emotional arc artifacts alongside journey schemas, ensuring design teams capture user experience highs and lows during the LeanUX workflow phases.

How do I create CLI UX mockups and TUI prototypes from journey maps?▼

CLI UX mockups are generated during the TUI prototyping phase of this methodology. It takes journey schemas and emotional arcs as inputs to produce terminal UI output formats and compatibility validations for command-line interface planning.

Can I generate Gherkin scenarios and structured schemas from a journey mapping process?▼

Gherkin scenarios and structured schemas are direct outputs of this journey mapping methodology. It provides consistent artifact templates that produce visual journey maps, structured schemas, and Gherkin feature files for product team validation.

Does this design methodology require specific frameworks or external dependencies?▼

This design methodology requires no external dependencies or frameworks. It operates as a standalone workflow covering journey mapping, emotional design, TUI prototyping, and integration checks, generating artifacts using only standard SKILL.md frontmatter and resource directories.

When should I use a LeanUX workflow over standard product design processes?▼

A LeanUX workflow suits projects needing rapid, repeatable artifact generation from discovery through visualization. Use this methodology when you need structured journey schemas, emotional arcs, and integration checks rather than open-ended design exploration.
