SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Architecture quality critique dimensions enable peer review of architecture quality in solution-architect-reviewer contexts and self-review of architecture documents.

Core Features & Use Cases

Dimension-based evaluation framework for architecture decisions, ADRs, and quality attributes.
Reusable templates for identifying bias, completeness gaps, and feasibility concerns.
Use Case: Apply the dimensions to a new architecture doc to surface risks before handoff.

Quick Start

Review an architecture document using nw-sa-critique-dimensions to guide the evaluation process.

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

What is architecture critique and how does it evaluate solution design documents?▼

Architecture critique evaluates solution design documents using a structured dimension set to surface biases, gaps, and trade-offs. It enforces criteria for completeness, feasibility, performance, and priority alignment during peer reviews.

How do I review an ADR for completeness gaps and feasibility concerns?▼

Review an ADR by applying a dimension-based evaluation framework to identify bias, completeness gaps, and feasibility concerns. This structured critique surfaces risks and validates quality attributes before architecture document handoff.

Can I use a structured framework for self-assessment of architecture decisions?▼

Yes, you can apply the critique dimensions for self-assessment of architecture decisions. The reusable templates guide evaluation against completeness, feasibility, performance, and priority alignment criteria without peer involvement.

What's the best way to surface trade-offs in architecture quality attributes during peer reviews?▼

The best way to surface trade-offs is applying a structured critique dimension set to architecture quality attributes. This enforces evaluation criteria and identifies biases, gaps, and priority misalignment during solution architecture peer reviews.

When do I need to apply architecture critique dimensions to a design decision?▼

Apply architecture critique dimensions to a design decision before handoff to surface risks, biases, and trade-offs. Use the evaluation criteria to validate feasibility, performance, completeness, and priority alignment early.

Does the architecture review process work for evaluating priority alignment in solution architecture documents?▼

Yes, the architecture review process enforces priority alignment evaluation for solution architecture documents. The critique dimensions specifically validate priority alignment alongside completeness, feasibility, and performance criteria.
