What problem does it solve?

This Skill provides a reliable, end-to-end method to publish structured GitHub issues and feature proposals without embedding authentication or repository-resolution logic in every workflow, reducing manual steps and errors.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Resolve the target repository from a specified owner/name or from the current git origin.
  • Detect the target repository's language from its README to localize issue headers and formatting.
  • Publish with a strict authentication fallback: gh CLI, then GitHub token, then a draft-only output when auth is unavailable.
  • Return a machine-readable JSON payload detailing mode, issue URL, rendered body, and any publish errors for downstream automation.
