SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Automates the transformation of a narrative report, research direction, or paper plan into a complete manuscript, handling planning, figure generation, LaTeX writing, compilation, and iterative improvement to produce a submission-ready PDF.

Core Features & Use Cases

Orchestrates five sub-skills into a single automated pipeline: /paper-plan → /paper-figure → /paper-write → /paper-compile → /auto-paper-improvement-loop.
Generates a polished paper directory including LaTeX sources, references, and a final PDF, aligned with venue constraints.
Ideal for researchers and students who want a repeatable, end-to-end workflow to convert exploratory narratives into rigorous manuscripts with consistent structure and style.

Quick Start

Invoke /paper-writing with a narrative input file to start the end-to-end paper production workflow.

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I automate paper writing from a narrative report to a LaTeX PDF?▼

Automating paper writing involves orchestrating a pipeline that converts narrative inputs into LaTeX sources and a submission-ready PDF. This process coordinates planning, figure generation, LaTeX compilation, and iterative refinement to produce a complete manuscript. You provide a narrative report and venue configuration to generate the final output.

What is the best way to generate academic figures and LaTeX sources from a research plan?▼

Generating academic figures and LaTeX sources from a research plan requires an automated pipeline that processes narrative inputs. The workflow applies figure generation and LaTeX writing phases, aligning outputs with venue constraints to produce a polished paper directory containing references and a compiled PDF.

Do I need a narrative report or paper plan to start automated manuscript generation?▼

Yes, automated manuscript generation requires narrative inputs such as a NARRATIVE_REPORT.md or PAPER_PLAN.md file, along with venue configuration. These inputs provide the foundational content and structural constraints needed to coordinate the planning, writing, and compilation phases into a submission-ready PDF.

Can I compile a submission-ready PDF with iterative refinement for academic publishing?▼

Yes, compiling a submission-ready PDF with iterative refinement is supported through an automated improvement loop. After initial LaTeX writing and compilation, the pipeline applies iterative refinements to enhance manuscript quality, ensuring the final PDF meets academic publishing standards and venue constraints.

Does automated paper writing work for researchers converting exploratory narratives into rigorous manuscripts?▼

Yes, automated paper writing works for researchers and students converting exploratory narratives into rigorous manuscripts. The pipeline handles end-to-end creation from planning to PDF compilation, providing a repeatable workflow that ensures consistent structure and style aligned with academic publishing requirements.

What are the limitations of automating end-to-end paper creation from narrative inputs?▼

Automating end-to-end paper creation requires structured narrative inputs and venue configuration to function effectively. Limitations include dependency on the quality of initial narrative reports, and the need for specific input file formats like NARRATIVE_REPORT.md or PAPER_PLAN.md to initiate the planning and figure generation phases.
