What problem does it solve?
Small teams of characters (2–8) need to stay together, follow a designated leader, and coordinate transitions between regions and dungeons. The Party System provides a cohesive data model and runtime logic to manage membership, leadership, and persistence across map changes, while keeping player parties separate from larger communities.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Party data model and registry for identity, membership, and reverse lookups.
- Leader-driven lifecycle: create, invite/join, leave, kick, promote, and disband, with follow mode control.
- Follow and gathering behavior: strict/loose follow, and a gathering phase that coordinates NPCs and players during region/dungeon transitions.
- Map transition integration: leader-initiated gathering replaces direct transitions on appropriate maps, with timeout and re-entry rules.
- Persistence and reconnection: party state persists for hibernation and re-links on wake-up.
Quick Start
Create a party using the Leadership skill, then invite or join members via the standard invitation flow and manage party state from the UI.
