SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This Skill helps you recognize and document chart patterns and price-action setups, enabling consistent entries and repeatable trading. It also supports building a personal pattern library with formal criteria.

Core Features & Use Cases

Pattern Library: Build and maintain documented pattern templates (H&S, Double Top/Bottom, Flags, Triangles).
Pattern Recognition: Identify patterns on charts and map to documented criteria.
Documentation & Entry Criteria: Use the pattern templates to define exact entry/exit rules.
Notes: The template provided in the Skill text can be used to document patterns in your library.

Quick Start

Describe a chart pattern to me, and I will label it and create a documented pattern entry using the provided template.

Frequently Asked Questions about pattern-recognition

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I identify chart patterns like head and shoulders or double tops?▼

Chart pattern recognition involves analyzing price movement for reversal and continuation formations. This Skill identifies classic patterns—head and shoulders, double tops and bottoms, triangles, flags, and pennants—by mapping visual structure against documented criteria, then confirms validity against entry and exit rules you define.

How do I document and track trading setups from chart patterns?▼

Document each pattern discovery using a structured template that captures setup criteria, entry price, stop-loss, profit targets, win rate, and best market conditions. This Skill records entries into a personal pattern library, enabling you to analyze performance and refine rules across repeated setups.

What makes a chart pattern valid for trading entry?▼

A valid pattern meets specific structural criteria—precise price levels, confirmation candles, and breakout direction—paired with entry and exit rules you establish. This Skill checks documented patterns against your criteria and flags setup validity automatically.

Can I build a reusable pattern library for consistent trading?▼

Yes. This Skill lets you create and maintain templates for each pattern type with formal entry criteria, stop placement, target levels, and historical win rate. Storing patterns in a documented library ensures consistency across multiple trades and market conditions.

What chart patterns does this recognize?▼

This Skill identifies reversal patterns (head and shoulders, double tops and bottoms), continuation patterns (triangles, flags, pennants), and breakout formations. Each pattern category has distinct entry and exit characteristics suited to specific market conditions.

Do I need prior chart pattern knowledge to use this?▼

No formal prerequisite exists, but familiarity with price-action trading concepts and chart reading accelerates adoption. This Skill handles pattern labeling and template documentation; you provide the chart image or description and define your entry and exit criteria.
