SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This Skill helps improve app paywalls that are not converting well by diagnosing the weakest stage in the funnel and identifying the messaging, pricing, or placement issues causing users to drop off.

Core Features & Use Cases

Paywall audit: Review headlines, value propositions, social proof, plan presentation, pricing display, trust cues, and call-to-action strength.
Funnel diagnosis: Compare app open to paywall view, paywall view to CTA tap, CTA tap to purchase, and trial start to paid conversion to find the bottleneck.
Experiment planning: Design focused A/B tests for copy, trial length, default plan selection, CTA wording, visuals, and paywall placement.
Use Case: A subscription app with low trial starts can use this Skill to assess the current paywall, recommend quick wins, and propose the next two test variants without redesigning the entire experience.

FAQPage Schema

How do I diagnose why my app subscription paywall is not converting?▼

Paywall conversion diagnosis involves comparing funnel metrics from app open to paywall view, CTA tap, and purchase to identify the exact bottleneck stage. Analyzing screenshots and pricing display isolates specific messaging or placement issues causing user drop-off.

Can I use this approach to audit paywall copy and pricing display for RevenueCat or Superwall?▼

Yes, paywall auditing applies to subscription frameworks like RevenueCat, Superwall, Adapty, and native StoreKit. It evaluates headline strength, value propositions, price anchoring, trust cues, and call-to-action effectiveness to find conversion blockers.

What's the best way to design A/B tests for trial offer length and default plan selection?▼

Design focused A/B tests by isolating single variables like trial length, default plan selection, CTA wording, or paywall placement. Prioritize quick wins first, then propose structured test variants to measure impact on trial starts and purchases.

When do I need to redesign my paywall placement versus just updating the value props?▼

You need a paywall placement redesign when funnel metrics show severe drop-off between app open and paywall view, indicating users never reach the offer. Updating value props targets drop-off occurring at the CTA tap stage.

What inputs do I need to analyze my current subscription paywall and recommend high-impact changes?▼

Analyzing a subscription paywall requires funnel metrics, current paywall screenshots, and plan pricing details. These inputs validate headline strength, social proof, price anchoring, trust cues, and CTA effectiveness to recommend conversion improvements.
