What problem does it solve?

perf-measure eliminates guesswork by producing structured, machine-readable performance metrics for Drupal requests so you can quantify what changed.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • DDEV-based PHP profiling: Captures wall time, CPU time (when available), memory peak, total function calls, and top functions for a Drupal page load.
  • Multiple profiling modes: Use xhprof for callgraph-based analysis, New Relic for continuous APM snapshots, or slow-query-log parsing for database pattern changes.
  • Experiment-loop ready output: Emits a JSON contract with scores and callgraph_top_10 to drive automated ratcheting and hypothesis generation.

Quick Start

Run perf-measure with xhprof to profile the homepage in your DDEV environment and get a JSON report of timing, memory, query counts, and the top 10 inclusive functions.
