What problem does it solve?
This Skill helps you understand and update how Pi chooses its default and session models so you can get consistent results without guessing providers, thinking levels, or shortcut behaviors.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Default model configuration: Update the repo’s Pi settings for provider, model, and default thinking level.
- One-off/session model switching: Use Pi commands to change the active model for the current interactive session.
- Ctrl+P scoped model cycling: Control the ordered list of enabled models used by Pi’s Ctrl+P and Shift+Ctrl+Ctrl+P cycling.
- Prompt-editor mode presets: Maintain the prompt-editor mode mapping in modes.json so model/preset behavior matches your workflow.
Quick Start
Ask the AI to update your Pi default model and thinking level to the specific provider/model you want, and confirm whether you should run bin/sync or use /reload after the edit.
