SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Deploy predefined network topologies for swarms to orchestrate structured agent communication.

Core Features & Use Cases

Supports star (hub-and-spoke), ring (circular), mesh (all-to-all), tree (hierarchical), and line formations for scalable swarm coordination.
Provides automated handshake and trust establishment workflows to form stable topologies across agents.
Use Case: Deploy a coordinated swarm pattern for mission-critical collaboration where topology informs routing and fault tolerance.

Quick Start

Install Pilot Protocol, start the daemon, and install the pilot-formation skill to deploy a topology of your choice.

Frequently Asked Questions about pilot-formation

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I deploy a structured network topology for agent swarms?▼

To deploy a structured network topology for agent swarms, use the pilot-formation skill to apply star, ring, mesh, tree, or line formations. This orchestrates structured agent communication and manages handshakes for scalable coordination.

What prerequisites do I need to set up swarm topology formations?▼

Setting up swarm topology formations requires the pilot-protocol skill installed, the pilotctl binary available on your PATH, and a running daemon. These prerequisites enable the pilot-formation skill to deploy network topologies.

Which swarm topology formation should I use for mission-critical collaboration?▼

For mission-critical collaboration, choose a swarm topology formation based on routing and fault tolerance needs. Star provides hub-and-spoke control, ring offers circular communication, mesh enables all-to-all redundancy, tree supports hierarchy, and line maintains sequential order.

How does automated handshake and trust establishment work in network formations?▼

Automated handshake and trust establishment in network formations works by applying predefined topology structures across agents. The pilot-formation skill manages these workflows to form stable topologies, ensuring structured agent communication within the Pilot Protocol environment.

Can I publish a deployed topology in a Pilot Protocol environment?▼

Yes, you can publish a deployed topology in a Pilot Protocol environment. The pilot-formation skill supports topology deployment workflows, handshake automation, and topology publishing to manage scalable coordination across the agent swarm.
