Tracking task dependencies relies on SQL-backed to-dos that maintain persistent state. Dependency-aware sequencing orders tasks correctly, enabling interactive, autopilot, or fleet execution modes before implementation begins.

To start using plan mode for project orchestration, toggle the planning phase via Shift+Tab. Describe your task, review the generated structured plan, and select your execution mode before implementation.

You can recover task progress during execution failures because the system uses SQL-backed to-dos. This persistent state tracking captures completion status, allowing you to resume controlled execution from the last checkpoint.

Plan mode supports fleet execution for team collaboration by providing team-visible task breakdowns and checkpoints. You can transition between interactive, autopilot, or fleet execution modes via the exit_plan_mode tool.

You should not use structured planning for simple, single-step tasks requiring immediate execution. The overhead of generating SQL-backed to-dos and dependency-aware sequencing targets complex multi-step workflows.
