FAQPage Schema

How do I break down a large project vision into epics?▼

Epic decomposition structures a broad project vision into manageable epics by identifying distinct work streams and outcomes. This Skill guides you through deconstructing your vision into clearly defined epics with formatted descriptions, establishing the foundation for sprint planning and team alignment.

How do I plan sprints based on team capacity?▼

Capacity-aware sprint planning selects backlog items that match your team's available capacity for each sprint cycle. This Skill automates the process of matching sprint commitments to team velocity, producing a prioritized sprint backlog that fits your constraints.

What's the best way to organize backlog items for sprint execution?▼

Organizing backlog items for sprints involves prioritizing tickets against team capacity and sprint goals. This Skill standardizes that process by selecting aligned backlog items and formatting sprint details, enabling teams to execute with clear, capacity-bounded commitments.

Can I use epic decomposition and sprint planning together?▼

Yes. Epic decomposition and sprint planning work in tandem—epics provide the high-level structure, while sprint planning operationalizes them into executable cycles. This Skill handles both workflows, connecting vision to sprint execution through capacity alignment.

When should I apply epic breakdown to my project?▼

Epic breakdown is most effective at project kickoff or during sprint planning ceremonies when you need to structure work or re-plan upcoming cycles. Use it when transitioning from strategic vision to operational sprints, or when sprint capacity requires backlog prioritization.
