SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes assets (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

Map-centric storytelling on PPT slides requires structuring geographic overlays, basemap choices, and layout strategies so geography advances the narrative rather than serving as decoration.

Core Features & Use Cases

Four map storytelling archetypes (territory_snapshot, route_corridor, conflict_theater, footprint_network) with a defined overlay grammar for consistent visuals.
Basemap governance and rendering guidance (SVG/editorial basemaps, GeoJSON/TopoJSON support, and MapLibre exception handling) to ensure scalable, shareable slides.
End-to-end workflow and artifacts, including patterns.yml and assets/examples.yml, that tie narrative decisions to concrete slide skeletons; example: a Gulf Littoral territory snapshot with shading and hotspots.

Quick Start

Create a map-first PPT page by selecting a narrative archetype, choosing a basemap, applying overlays, and locking in a layout skeleton.

Frequently Asked Questions about ppt-map-storytelling

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I structure map-driven storytelling in a PPT presentation?▼

Map-driven storytelling in a PPT presentation is structured by selecting one of four narrative archetypes—territory snapshot, route corridor, conflict theater, or footprint network—and applying a defined overlay grammar to ensure geography advances the narrative rather than serving as decoration.

What basemap formats work with geographic narrative PPT slides?▼

Geographic narrative PPT slides support SVG and editorial basemaps, along with GeoJSON and TopoJSON data formats. MapLibre is supported as an exception handling case to ensure scalable and shareable slide rendering.

How do I create a territory snapshot map slide for a regional conflict theater?▼

To create a territory snapshot map slide for a regional conflict theater, select the conflict theater or territory snapshot archetype, choose an appropriate basemap, apply geographic overlays, and lock in a layout skeleton aligned with pattern configuration files.

Can I use GeoJSON overlays for route corridor and footprint network maps in slide design?▼

Yes, GeoJSON overlays can be used for route corridor and footprint network maps in slide design. The Skill routes overlay-to-component mappings based on these four archetypes, coordinating geographic data with basemap choices and layout constraints.

What is the best way to align map overlays with layout constraints in presentation design?▼

The best way to align map overlays with layout constraints in presentation design is to use the end-to-end workflow that ties narrative decisions to concrete slide skeletons through patterns.yml and examples.yml configuration files.

Does PPT map storytelling support global and multi-regional geographic scopes?▼

PPT map storytelling supports regional, multi-regional, and global geographic scopes. The overlay grammar and basemap governance are designed to handle territory snapshots, route corridors, conflict theaters, and network footprints across all these scales.
