High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I convert a PRD into GitHub issues?▼

To convert a PRD into GitHub issues, you provide the PRD number or URL to draft tracer-bullet vertical slices. These slices traverse API, UI, and testing layers end-to-end to generate independently-grabbable issues in dependency order.

What are tracer-bullet vertical slices in project planning?▼

Tracer-bullet vertical slices are end-to-end work items that traverse API, UI, and testing layers for traceability. They break down a PRD into independently-grabbable GitHub issues, ensuring each slice delivers functional value across the entire stack.

How do I break down a PRD into end-to-end work items?▼

You break down a PRD by outlining its scope and drafting vertical slices that cover API, UI, and tests. A guided quiz helps iterate with stakeholders to confirm blockers and dependencies before presenting a blocker-aware plan for issue creation.

Can I use this to create GitHub issues in dependency order?▼

Yes, you can create GitHub issues in dependency order. The tool drafts tracer-bullet vertical slices from your PRD and presents a blocker-aware plan, ensuring issues are generated sequentially based on their dependencies.

Do I need a specific PRD format to generate GitHub issues?▼

You do not need a specific PRD format, but you must provide a PRD number or URL to begin. The process optionally explores the codebase to accurately draft vertical slices that traverse API, UI, and testing layers.

How does the tool handle blockers and dependencies when creating issues?▼

It handles blockers and dependencies by using a guided quiz to iterate with stakeholders. This confirms project constraints before presenting a blocker-aware plan that structures the GitHub issue creation in proper dependency order.
