SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Prevents repeated collection of foundational product, audience, and positioning details by centralizing them in a single, shareable context file that all marketing skills can reference.

Core Features & Use Cases

Existing context check & migration: Detects .agents/product-marketing-context.md and legacy .claude/product-marketing-context.md and offers to migrate or summarize.
Auto-draft from repository: Reads README, landing pages, package metadata, and marketing copy to produce a first-pass context document.
Guided conversational capture: Walks users through structured sections (overview, audience, personas, differentiation, proof points) and iterates based on feedback.
Cross-skill reuse: Saves a standardized .agents/product-marketing-context.md that other marketing skills reference to avoid redundant questions.

Quick Start

Draft a product marketing context from the repository and save it to .agents/product-marketing-context.md.

FAQPage Schema

How do I create a reusable product marketing brief without re-entering the same positioning details?▼

A reusable product marketing brief centralizes positioning, audience, and messaging into a single .agents/product-marketing-context.md file. This prevents repeated collection of foundational details by allowing all marketing tasks to reference the same context document.

Can I auto-draft a marketing context document from my existing repository files?▼

Yes, you can auto-draft a marketing context document by reading README files, landing pages, and package metadata from your repository. The skill produces a first-pass context file capturing product overview and differentiation to accelerate setup.

What is a centralized marketing context file and when do I need one for cross-skill campaigns?▼

A centralized marketing context file is a standardized document capturing product positioning, ideal customer profiles, and brand voice. You need one for cross-skill campaigns where multiple marketing tasks must reference consistent audience messaging without redundant questions.

How do I migrate a legacy .claude product marketing context file to the .agents directory?▼

The skill detects existing .claude/product-marketing-context.md files and offers to migrate or summarize them into the new .agents/product-marketing-context.md format. This ensures backward compatibility while maintaining your current positioning and persona data.

Does this marketing context skill work for early-stage project setups without existing marketing copy?▼

Yes, the skill supports early-stage project setups through guided conversational capture. It walks you through structured sections including overview, audience, personas, and proof points, iterating based on feedback to build a complete marketing brief from scratch.

What are the limitations of using a single context file for all marketing skills?▼

A single context file standardizes messaging across marketing skills but requires manual iterative updates to stay current. If product positioning shifts frequently, conversational updates are needed to keep the centralized document aligned with new differentiation and audience details.
