High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I automate network device testing and configuration validation across IOS-XE and NX-OS?▼

Automate network device testing by using pyATS to inventory testbeds, execute show commands, and apply configurations across IOS-XE, NX-OS, and Linux hosts. This provides repeatable device verification and config management for both lab and production environments.

Can I use pyATS to run show commands and compare running configurations?▼

Yes, you can use pyATS to execute show commands, parse structured output, and retrieve running configurations. You can then perform Genie learn/diff comparisons for deeper state analysis and configuration validation across your network devices.

What is the best way to build repeatable network test scripts for production environments?▼

Build repeatable network test scripts using pyATS AEtest workflows to execute dynamic validations and pass/fail checks. This standardizes device verification, command execution, and data collection across lab and production testbeds safely.

Does pyATS support executing Linux commands on network hosts within a testbed?▼

Yes, pyATS supports running Linux commands on Linux-capable hosts within your testbed. This allows you to manage network devices, execute host commands, and collect results alongside IOS-XE and NX-OS device testing workflows.

How do I apply configuration changes safely across multiple network devices?▼

Apply configuration changes across multiple network devices safely using pyATS standardized workflows. The automation executes configurations, collects results, and implements safe defaults to ensure repeatable config management across your testbed.
