FAQPage Schema

How do I automate quality assurance checks across the spec-driven development lifecycle?▼

Automating quality assurance across the spec-driven lifecycle involves applying phase-aligned validation checklists and review processes to requirements, design, and tasks phases to ensure deliverables meet functional and technical standards.

What are phase exit criteria and how do they gate spec-driven development?▼

Phase exit criteria are standardized quality gates that block progression between development phases unless functional and technical requirements pass validation checklists and governance workflows.

How do I set up a testing strategy with quality metrics and governance workflows?▼

Setting up a testing strategy with quality metrics involves applying test pyramid guidance, defining measurable quality metrics, and establishing governance workflows to validate deliverables before phase exit.

Can I run validation reviews on requirements and design phases before task implementation?▼

Yes, you can run validation reviews on requirements and design phases before task implementation by applying phase-aligned checklists to ensure alignment with business objectives and technical standards.

What is the best way to enforce quality gates for software engineering deliverables?▼

The best way to enforce quality gates for software deliverables is to implement standardized review processes and exit criteria that validate functional requirements, technical standards, and testing strategies before advancing phases.

Why does spec-driven development need automated quality validation templates?▼

Spec-driven development needs automated quality validation templates to reduce defects and rework by ensuring that specifications translate into reliable software outcomes that satisfy predefined governance and quality metrics.
