Run the quantum security readiness tool to generate a JSON output of the current assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions about quantum-security-readiness

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I assess my organization's cryptographic readiness for quantum computing threats?▼

Assess cryptographic readiness for quantum computing by inventorying cryptographic assets, evaluating their quantum vulnerability, and scoring crypto agility to track exposure to harvest-now-decrypt-later risks, producing a JSON readiness baseline.

What is a harvest-now-decrypt-later attack and how does it impact post-quantum migration?▼

A harvest-now-decrypt-later attack captures currently encrypted data to decrypt it once quantum computers mature. Post-quantum migration counters this by transitioning vulnerable assets to NIST-approved PQC algorithms, securing long-lived sensitive data against future decryption.

How do I create a migration roadmap to NIST post-quantum cryptography standards?▼

Create a migration roadmap to NIST post-quantum cryptography by generating a prioritized transition plan based on your cryptographic asset inventory and quantum vulnerability assessment. The roadmap targets hybrid classical and PQC transition strategies for systematic remediation.

Can I evaluate crypto agility for my current cryptographic assets before starting a PQC migration?▼

Evaluate crypto agility for cryptographic assets by assessing your organization's ability to adapt to new post-quantum algorithms. This scoring mechanism measures infrastructure flexibility, ensuring you can efficiently transition to PQC standards without extensive system overhauls.

What's the best way to transition to hybrid classical and post-quantum cryptography?▼

Transition to hybrid classical and post-quantum cryptography by following a prioritized migration roadmap that incorporates vulnerability assessments and crypto agility scores. This approach balances immediate protection with gradual adoption of NIST PQC algorithms.

Do I need a cryptographic asset inventory to use a quantum security readiness tool?▼

A cryptographic asset inventory is required to perform a quantum security readiness assessment, as the tool inventories cryptographic assets to evaluate their quantum vulnerability and generate an accurate, prioritized post-quantum migration roadmap.
