What problem does it solve?

RIPDPI needs to preserve native bindings, serialized navigation routes, and protobuf schemas during code shrinking. The keep-rule strategy provides narrowly scoped, module-level guidelines to avoid breaking runtime behavior in release builds.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Maintains native symbol names for JNI bindings during R8/ProGuard shrinking.
  • Keeps serialization routes and protobuf classes intact without broad, unsafe rules.
  • Guides module-level rule placement (consumer-rules.pro) and verification workflows for release builds.

Quick Start

Add a module-scoped consumer-rules.pro entry for any new JNI bindings or proto schemas and run a release build to verify R8 stability.
