This workflow eliminates the tedious manual process of designing and updating event posters by separating content from layout so non-designers can refresh text while preserving branding.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Content-driven YAML: Place all editable text (title, subtitle, description, dates, venue, speakers, sponsors) in event-poster/poster.yaml to simplify updates.
- Layout-driven rendering: Use event-poster/generate_poster.py to control the visual design (fonts, spacing, colors) while content remains in YAML.
- Asset management: Store logos, photos, icons in event-poster/assets and cache generated assets for fast rebuilds.
- Output guarantees: Produces a single-page A4 PDF suitable for sharing and printing, with recycling-ready assets and predictable typography.
- Use cases: Ideal for conference posters, meetup flyers, and workshop announcements where content changes frequently.
Quick Start
Run the poster generator in the event-poster directory to produce or update the poster PDF.
