What problem does it solve?
Automates the controlled release flow to ensure releases are tagged correctly, auditable, and gated by CI.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Orchestrates the disconnect flow: set version, validate preconditions, stamp versions, move unreleased cycles, create annotated tag, and push to main with tags.
- Polls release CI after tagging and handles red CI via the predefined recovery runbook or operator override.
- Cleans up merged branches and maintains release traceability through standardized artifacts.
Quick Start
Set the VERSION to the target release and run scripts/release.sh to begin the disconnect.
