SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

It prevents research work from collapsing into re-summarized documents by producing a decision-grade synthesis that preserves real contradictions and honest confidence.

Core Features & Use Cases

Evidence-anchored findings: Extracts true findings from a source set instead of repeating each document.
Contradiction preservation: Surfaces material disagreement rather than flattening it into false consensus.
Confidence and gaps: Marks confidence based on evidence quality and ends with what is supported now versus what still needs work.
Use case: Convert a competitive research packet into a brief that investors or operators can use for next-step decisions.

Quick Start

Ask your AI client to synthesize these sources into a decision-grade brief for a specific question and explicitly list where the sources disagree and what we can conclude with confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions about research-synthesis

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I synthesize messy research sources into a decision-grade brief?▼

Synthesize messy research sources by extracting true findings, preserving contradictions, and marking confidence levels instead of sequentially summarizing documents. This produces a decision-grade brief focused on what is currently supported by evidence and what requires further research.

What is the best way to handle contradictions in an evidence synthesis brief?▼

Handle contradictions in an evidence synthesis brief by explicitly surfacing material disagreements rather than flattening them into false consensus. The workflow requires an evidence inventory that preserves conflicting findings to support honest confidence marking for operators and investors.

How do I write a research briefing that highlights evidence gaps for strategy discussions?▼

Write a research briefing that highlights evidence gaps by marking confidence based on evidence quality and freshness, then concluding with what is supported now versus what must be researched next. This ensures strategy discussions focus on actionable findings and unresolved questions.

Can I use evidence synthesis for competitive research memos and investor briefings?▼

You can use evidence synthesis for competitive research memos and investor briefings by applying a workflow framing that extracts findings from a source set. It converts a research packet into a brief that operators and investors can use for next-step decisions.

Why does my research synthesis just repeat document summaries instead of extracting findings?▼

Research synthesis repeats document summaries when it lacks an evidence inventory and contradiction handling. Extracting true findings requires shifting from sequential summarization to anchoring conclusions in evidence quality, explicitly listing disagreements, and marking honest confidence levels.

What is research synthesis and when do I need it for decision support?▼

Research synthesis is the process of extracting findings, contradictions, and gaps from a provided source set to produce decision support. You need it for memo preparation and strategy discussions where evidence quality and freshness matter, preventing research from collapsing into re-summarized documents.
