SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

The Reversa Designer helps architectural teams plan and validate modernization strategies for legacy systems, ensuring traceability and alignment with chosen paradigms and migration strategies.

Core Features & Use Cases

Proposes topology decisions and modern alternatives with justification.
Defines bounded contexts, target architecture, domain model, and data model guided by migration briefs.
Produces artefacts such as topology_decision.md, target_architecture.md, target_domain_model.md, target_data_model.md, and data_migration_plan.md.

Quick Start

Run the designer with the current migration brief to begin topology analysis and await topology decision approval.

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I design target architecture for a legacy-to-modern migration?▼

To design target architecture for a legacy-to-modern migration, you need a tool that proposes topology decisions and generates design artefacts like target_architecture.md. This ensures your modernization strategy maintains traceability and aligns with your chosen paradigm.

What is topology decision in reverse migration projects?▼

Topology decision in reverse migration projects is the process of identifying and documenting the optimal migration structure. It involves proposing modern alternatives with justification and grouping bounded contexts to guide the transition from legacy systems.

How do I map bounded contexts when migrating legacy structures to a modern architecture?▼

Mapping bounded contexts when migrating legacy structures to a modern architecture requires analyzing a migration brief to group domains logically. This process yields a target domain model and ensures structural alignment with the chosen migration strategy.

Does this approach generate a complete data migration plan and domain models?▼

Yes, this approach generates a complete data migration plan alongside target domain and data models. It produces artefacts like data_migration_plan.md and target_data_model.md to guide your two-phase reverse-migration project comprehensively.

Can I use this for a two-phase reverse-migration project requiring compliance?▼

You can use this for a two-phase reverse-migration project requiring compliance because it explicitly maintains traceability between legacy references and modern architecture. It validates modernization strategies while adhering to your chosen paradigm.

What do I need to start topology analysis for a system modernization strategy?▼

To start topology analysis for a system modernization strategy, you need a current migration brief. Running the designer with this brief initiates the topology analysis and awaits your topology decision approval before generating further design artefacts.
