SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Roadmap planning and prioritization are often misaligned with strategy, leading to scope creep and unclear success criteria.

Core Features & Use Cases

Framework-driven prioritization: RICE, MoSCoW, and ICE to rank initiatives.
Dependency and capacity awareness: map dependencies, resource constraints, and sequencing.
Stakeholder communication: present clear roadmaps, themes, and OKR alignment for leadership reviews.

Quick Start

Create a quarterly roadmap using Now/Next/Later and map initiatives to themes and OKRs.

FAQPage Schema

How do I prioritize a product roadmap using RICE or MoSCoW frameworks?▼

Product roadmap prioritization using RICE or MoSCoW frameworks scores initiatives to rank strategic value and sequence delivery. This method applies proven scoring models to clarify tradeoffs and align scope with leadership goals.

What is the best way to map dependencies for capacity planning in a quarterly roadmap?▼

Dependency mapping for capacity planning identifies resource constraints and sequences initiatives within a quarterly roadmap. It connects resource limits to Now/Next/Later delivery phases to prevent scope creep and clarify team workload.

How do I align product roadmap themes with OKRs for stakeholder communication?▼

Aligning roadmap themes with OKRs maps planned initiatives directly to measurable objectives for stakeholder communication. This structure translates execution items into strategic outcomes, making tradeoff explanations clear during leadership reviews.

When should I use Now/Next/Later instead of RICE for roadmap planning?▼

Use Now/Next/Later for roadmap planning when you need to communicate timeline horizons and sequencing to stakeholders, whereas RICE provides numerical scoring for comparing initiative impact. Both drive strategic alignment but serve different presentation needs.

Does roadmap prioritization work without strict capacity planning constraints?▼

Roadmap prioritization can proceed without strict capacity planning constraints by focusing on strategic value frameworks like ICE or MoSCoW. However, mapping dependencies and resource limits is necessary to ensure actionable sequencing and prevent scope creep.
