SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill requires jq, and includes scripts (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill eliminates manual, error-prone creation of Dojo node directories by generating schema-valid skeletons so authors and agents can start with a correct node.json and optional SKILL.md without handcrafting manifests.

Core Features & Use Cases

Automated skeleton generation for ecosystem, standard, skill, context, and sub node types using templates.
Produces a filled node.json with placeholders, an optional SKILL.md for executable nodes, and a scripts directory when requested.
Use Case: Bootstrapping a new integration or batch-creating an ecosystem tree to ensure consistent, validation-ready starting points for authors and CI workflows.

Quick Start

Use the scaffold skill to create a new skill node at github/actions/workflows.

FAQPage Schema

How do I generate a valid node.json skeleton for a new Dojo node?▼

To generate a valid Dojo node skeleton, use an automated CLI to instantly produce a schema-valid node.json manifest with placeholders, ensuring correct initialization without handcrafting files. It also derives the parent node automatically from the provided URI.

What is the best way to batch-create an ecosystem tree of Dojo nodes?▼

Batch-creating an ecosystem tree of Dojo nodes is best handled by automated skeleton generation templates that output validation-ready starting points for CI workflows and authors. This ensures consistent node.json manifests across all ecosystem, standard, skill, context, or sub node types.

Do I need jq installed to scaffold Dojo node directories?▼

Yes, you need jq installed and available in your environment to operate the create-node CLI for generating Dojo node skeletons. This dependency is required to process and produce the valid node.json files during the scaffolding operation.

Can I generate a scripts directory when bootstrapping a new skill node?▼

Yes, you can generate a scripts directory when bootstrapping a new skill node by requesting it during skeleton creation. The scaffolding process produces a filled node.json, an optional SKILL.md for executable nodes, and a scripts directory when explicitly requested.

Why does manual creation of Dojo node directories fail in CI workflows?▼

Manual creation of Dojo node directories fails in CI workflows due to human error in handcrafting manifests and invalid node.json schemas. Automated skeleton generation eliminates this by producing validation-ready starting points with correct parent derivation from URIs.
