What problem does it solve?

It prevents inquiry drift by helping teachers and learners agree on what they are investigating, at what scale, and from whose perspective before they start mapping or futures work.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Creates a scoping statement that names the inquiry arena, focal actor or system, purpose, and scale in 2–3 sentences.
  • Separates environments into transactional (directly influencable/interactive) and contextual (wider forces shaping conditions).
  • Makes boundaries explicit by recording what is deliberately left out and why, plus listing evidence available vs. evidence needed.
  • Quality-gates the scope to catch overly vague, missing time-horizon, “save the world” scale, or non-nameable focal actor scoping.

Quick Start

Ask the AI to produce an inquiry scoping statement using your topic_or_concern and context, including transactional vs contextual environments, a time horizon, boundary decisions, and quality gate results.
