What problem does it solve?

Search SOP reduces the time and trial-and-error needed to locate high-quality academic literature by standardizing a multi-layer search process across local libraries, open APIs, web-accessible sources, and browser automation.

Core Features & Use Cases

• Priority fallback search: starts with local reference-manager imports, then moves through structured API tools, direct web fetching for public academic URLs, and browser RPA when databases lack public APIs.
• Recency-ready retrieval: enforces date-based sorting and filtering for “latest/recent/past N months” requests so results match the user’s timeframe.
• Search iteration with evaluation: runs up to 3 iterations (evaluate → refine → re-search) to improve quantity, recency coverage, methodological diversity, and inclusion of key high-impact papers, then escalates when still insufficient.
• Reference manager bridges: supports Zotero/EndNote import via available local mechanisms and optional reverse sync paths when configured.
