What problem does it solve?

Missing or zero inventoryItem.unitCost values silently corrupt margin reporting and inventory valuation, causing downstream financial analysis to become unreliable.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Catalog-wide COGS audit (read-only): Scans variants and flags those whose inventoryItem.unitCost is null or zero.
  • Stock-aware scoping: Filters by variant status (ACTIVE/DRAFT/ARCHIVED/ALL), optional vendor, and optionally only stocked variants.
  • Actionable output for remediation: Produces a CSV worklist identifying exact variants and inventory items to fix, plus summary metrics like “value at price” for inventory that can’t be costed.

Quick Start

Run shopify-admin-cogs-completeness-audit for your store to generate a CSV of all variants missing inventoryItem.unitCost so you can correct vendor cost data.
