What problem does it solve?

It helps you understand customer retention by showing how customers acquired in the same first-purchase month repurchase over time and how much revenue each cohort generates.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Cohort grouping by first purchase: Groups customers into cohorts based on the month of their first order, then tracks performance across subsequent months.
  • Repeat purchase and revenue tracking: Computes repeat purchasers, repeat rates, total revenue, and revenue per customer for each cohort month offset.
  • Read-only analytics for retention strategy: Produces a cohort analysis CSV without mutations, supporting retention, loyalty, or subscription health checks.
  • Use Case: If you launched a loyalty program last quarter, you can compare cohorts by first-purchase month to see whether later cohorts repurchase more often and generate more revenue.

Quick Start

Run shopify-admin-customer-cohort-analysis with your store domain to generate a cohort_analysis_<YYYY-MM-DD>.csv showing repeat rates and revenue by month offset.
