SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

It resolves unclear or inconsistent cinematography language by producing precise shot-size vocabulary and angle/coverage framing that stays coherent across storyboard and prompt writing.

Core Features & Use Cases

Standard shot-size terminology: Produces consistent abbreviations and their intended meanings (e.g., ECU/CU/MCU/MS/FS/WS/EWS).
Angle selection logic: Maps narrative intent to camera angles (low, high, eye level, overhead, canted) for consistent storytelling emphasis.
Coverage phrasing with continuity rules: Chooses shot-size shifts that reflect information priority and avoids random variation that breaks narrative continuity.

Quick Start

Use it to rewrite a storyboard beat request into camera coverage instructions that match the intended emotional focus, blocking, and scale.

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

What are the standard shot size abbreviations for storyboard and prompt writing?▼

Camera angle selection maps narrative intent to specific angles like low, high, eye level, overhead, and canted, ensuring consistent storytelling emphasis and emotional focus across storyboard conversions.

How do I maintain screen-direction continuity when shifting shot sizes?▼

To maintain screen-direction continuity, coverage framing applies explicit selection rules that prioritize information hierarchy and prevent random shot variation, keeping narrative continuity intact across scene breakdowns.

Can I use standard shot size terminology for screenplay-to-storyboard conversions?▼

Yes, standard shot size terminology directly supports screenplay-to-storyboard conversions by providing deterministic vocabulary and coverage constraints that translate scene beats into precise camera instructions.

When should I use overhead versus canted angles for narrative emphasis?▼

Overhead versus canted angle selection depends on whether spatial or emotional emphasis is required, with explicit angle selection logic mapping narrative intent to the correct camera positioning for storytelling impact.

Why does random shot variation break narrative continuity in cinematography prompts?▼

Random shot variation breaks narrative continuity by ignoring information priority and blocking constraints, which is why coverage phrasing enforces deterministic shot-size shifts that reflect the intended scene emphasis.
