What problem does it solve?

This skill helps you diagnose and fix UIs that feel cluttered, overwhelming, or empty by separating meaningful “signal” from distracting “noise” so the user can find and process what matters.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Signal vs. Noise Auditing: Identifies which borders, shadows, icons, dividers, illustrations, gradients, and badges are load-bearing for the user’s task versus decorative.
  • Task-Relative Evaluation: Treats signal/noise as dependent on the user’s goal on that specific screen, so the same element can be correct in one context and noise in another.
  • Noise Reduction Playbook: Provides a practical subtraction workflow (strip borders/shadows/gradients/icons, then restore only what earns its pixels).
  • High-SNR Patterning: Recommends clearer emphasis placement and redundancy control, especially for dashboards, data tables, settings, and admin surfaces.

Quick Start

Ask your agent to review the provided dashboard or settings screen and rewrite it to increase signal-to-noise ratio by removing non-load-bearing chrome while preserving task-relevant information.
