Frequently Asked Questions about silver-init

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I initialize Silver Bullet workflow scaffolding for a new Forge project?▼

To initialize Silver Bullet workflow scaffolding, run silver:init in the project root to validate global SB assets, detect the project stack, and generate AGENTS.md, .planning/, .forge/skills/, and .forge/agents/ directories.

What planning artifacts are created when bootstrapping a Forge project?▼

Bootstrapping a Forge project creates AGENTS.md, a .planning/ directory, .forge/skills/, and .forge/agents/ skeletons for governance and execution, alongside an initial PROJECT.md skeleton tailored to the detected project stack.

Do I need global Silver Bullet assets installed before setting up Forge project scaffolding?▼

Yes, setting up Forge project scaffolding requires a global Silver Bullet skill and agent set to be installed. The initialization validates these global SB assets and provides install or re-run guidance if they are missing.

When should I use project scaffolding initialization for my workflow?▼

Use project scaffolding initialization when your project lacks planning artifacts and you want to start Silver Bullet workflows. It generates the necessary directory structures and governance files to enable SB-driven execution.

Why does Forge project initialization fail to generate the PROJECT.md skeleton?▼

Forge project initialization fails if the global Silver Bullet skill and agent set is not installed. The process must validate global SB assets before bootstrapping project-level files and generating the PROJECT.md skeleton.
