What problem does it solve?
This Skill plans the governed retirement of a library skill so references, evals, catalogs, and README entries do not break when a skill is removed or superseded.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Trigger validation: Confirms a legitimate retirement reason such as supersession, absorption, disuse with evidence, or a defect.
- Reverse-link sweep: Finds every inbound mention across sibling skills, trigger evals, catalogs, README content, and agent definitions, then assigns each one a disposition.
- Staged deprecation: Produces a mark, redirect, and remove plan with rollback guidance and human approval boundaries.
- Use Case: A skill has been replaced by a newer one and several other skills still name it; this Skill creates the removal plan without deleting anything itself.
Quick Start
Ask the skill-deprecation-planner to prepare a safe retirement plan for the deprecated skill, including its successor, all inbound references, and the staged rollback path.
