SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Toolkit for creating animated GIFs optimized for Slack, with validators for Slack's constraints and a suite of composable animation primitives to streamline visual storytelling.

Core Features & Use Cases

Validators for Slack constraints (emoji GIFs limited to 64KB and 128x128; message GIFs limited to ~2MB) with guidance for reducing frames, colors, or dimensions.
Rich library of animation primitives (bounce, shake, move, fade, spin, explode, morph, kaleidoscope, etc.) to compose engaging Slack GIFs.
Helper utilities for color management, text rendering, and frame composition to produce polished, production-ready assets.

Quick Start

Describe the Slack GIF you want and the tool will generate frames, validate Slack constraints, and export a Slack-ready GIF.

FAQPage Schema

How do I create Slack-ready animated GIFs from text prompts?▼

You can create Slack-ready animated GIFs by providing a descriptive prompt; the tool generates frames, validates Slack constraints, and exports an optimized file.

What are the size limits for Slack emoji GIFs and message GIFs?▼

Slack emoji GIFs are limited to 64KB and 128x128 dimensions, while message GIFs are limited to approximately 2MB, with validators providing guidance on reducing frames or colors to meet constraints.

Does this GIF creator support color quantization and duplicate-frame removal?▼

Yes, the GIF creator supports color quantization and duplicate-frame removal during export through its GIFBuilder, which enforces Slack constraints and optimizes output for emoji and message formats.

How do I compose custom animations for Slack using primitives?▼

You can compose custom animations for Slack using a rich library of primitives like bounce, shake, spin, fade, explode, and morph to streamline visual storytelling and produce polished assets.

Why does my Slack emoji GIF exceed the 64KB limit?▼

If your Slack emoji GIF exceeds 64KB, the validators offer guidance for reducing frames, colors, or dimensions to ensure the output meets Slack's strict file size constraints.
