SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill requires Pillow, imageio, numpy, and includes scripts (resource) and references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill helps users create animated GIFs specifically optimized for Slack, whether for messages or custom emojis, by converting creative descriptions into visual animations.

Core Features & Use Cases

Slack Optimization: Ensures GIFs meet Slack's size and resolution constraints for both messages and custom emojis.
Animation Primitives: Offers a library of effects like shake, bounce, spin, pulse, fade, and zoom.
Creative to Animated: Translates user ideas into dynamic visual content.
Use Case: You need a custom Slack emoji that bounces. Describe the desired bounce effect, and the skill will generate an optimized GIF.

Quick Start

Use the Slack GIF Creator skill to make a bouncing emoji of a star.

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I create an animated GIF for a Slack custom emoji?▼

To create an animated GIF for a Slack custom emoji, use this skill to translate creative descriptions into visual animations. It applies effects like bounce or shake and optimizes the GIF to meet Slack's specific size and resolution constraints for custom emojis.

What animations can I apply when I optimize a GIF for Slack messages?▼

When you optimize a GIF for Slack messages, you can apply animation primitives like shake, bounce, spin, pulse, fade, and zoom. The skill utilizes NumPy for animation logic to translate these creative descriptions into dynamic visual content.

How do I make sure my GIF meets Slack's size and resolution limits?▼

To ensure your GIF meets Slack's size and resolution limits, this skill automatically optimizes the output during creation. It uses Pillow and imageio for image manipulation, guaranteeing the final GIF fits Slack's constraints for both messages and custom emojis.

Can I use Pillow and imageio to generate Slack emojis from text descriptions?▼

Yes, you can use this skill which leverages Pillow and imageio to generate Slack emojis from text descriptions. It converts your creative ideas into dynamic visual content by applying animation primitives and ensuring the output is optimized for Slack.

Why does my animated Slack emoji exceed the file size limit?▼

If your animated Slack emoji exceeds the file size limit, it likely lacks proper optimization. This skill resolves that by using Pillow and imageio to apply animation primitives while strictly optimizing the final GIF to meet Slack's message and custom emoji size constraints.

Does the Slack GIF Creator support bounce and shake effects for message design?▼

The Slack GIF Creator supports bounce and shake effects for message design, alongside spin, pulse, fade, and zoom. It uses these animation primitives to generate optimized animated GIFs tailored specifically for Slack message and custom emoji requirements.
