What problem does it solve?

This Skill provides an advisory scan to surface architectural smells in recently changed source files, helping code reviewers spot design issues early without gating the pipeline.

Core Features & Use Cases

  • Detects nine Fowler-smells in touched code using Grep/Read heuristics.
  • Produces a ranked table with file:line, smell, tier, why it matters, suggested refactor, and tag for advisory review.
  • Applies strict input filtering (excludes docs, configs, and tests) and supports P3 suppression, with a final verdict of SMELLS_FOUND or SMELLS_CLEAN.
  • Invoked by the code-reviewer agent during the Build code-review step, and can be run manually for targeted scans.

Run the smell-scan on the current branch diff to surface architectural smells before code-review decisions.
