SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

SPARC provides a systematic, parallel, and complete framework for software development by coordinating specification, architecture, refinement (TDD), review, and completion across autonomous agents.

Core Features & Use Cases

Structured five-phase workflow (Specification, Architecture, Refinement, Review, Completion) with memory-backed coordination.
17 specialized modes for cross-functional tasks (researcher, architect, coder, tdd, reviewer, optimizer, documenter, memory-manager, etc.) enabling parallel and sequential pipelines.
Flexible activation and orchestration patterns (hierarchical and mesh swarms) for scalable teams.

Quick Start

Initiate SPARC by starting with the research phase to define requirements for your first feature.

Frequently Asked Questions about sparc-methodology

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

What is the SPARC methodology for software development?▼

The SPARC methodology is a systematic framework coordinating end-to-end software development across specification, architecture, refinement, review, and completion phases using parallel, memory-augmented autonomous agents.

How do I orchestrate multi-agent workflows for complex software projects?▼

Orchestrate multi-agent workflows using flexible hierarchical and mesh swarm patterns, activating 17 specialized modes like researcher, architect, coder, and reviewer to enable scalable parallel and sequential pipelines.

How do I start a new feature using the SPARC workflow?▼

Start a new feature by initiating the SPARC workflow at the research phase to define requirements, then progress sequentially through architecture, TDD refinement, review, and completion phases.

Does test-driven development fit into a multi-agent architecture workflow?▼

Test-driven development integrates into this multi-agent architecture workflow as the refinement phase, coordinated with memory-backed collaboration across specialized coder and TDD modes for structured software delivery.

Can I use SPARC for parallel team coordination across development phases?▼

Yes, SPARC supports parallel team coordination for complex projects using memory-augmented collaboration and 17 specialized modes to manage tasks across research, architecture, review, optimization, and documentation phases.

What limitations should I expect with structured multi-agent software orchestration?▼

Structured multi-agent software orchestration requires a defined SKILL.md frontmatter with specific activation modes and optional resource folders, restricting use to teams supporting structured workflow configurations.
