SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Backend reconnaissance maps all routes, middleware, models, dependencies, and auth to enable a clean project takeover.

Core Features & Use Cases

Map all API routes and endpoints across services, including auth requirements and handler mappings.
Inventory middleware order, data models, and external dependencies for a cohesive architectural view.
Assess code quality and readiness for handover with a structured report and gap analysis.
Use Case: When taking over a legacy backend, generate a complete API map, data model catalog, and security audit to inform onboarding and migration.

Quick Start

Instruct Spine to generate a full backend map and code-quality assessment for the current project.

FAQPage Schema

How do I map all API routes and data models for a legacy backend takeover?▼

Backend reconnaissance maps all routes, middleware, data models, dependencies, and auth to enable a clean project takeover. It generates a complete architectural view and structured report for onboarding or migrating legacy codebases.

What is the best way to inventory middleware order and external dependencies for an audit?▼

Inventorying middleware order and external dependencies is performed by mapping the backend architecture to provide a cohesive structural view. This process assesses code quality and readiness to identify gaps and inform security boundaries.

Can I assess code quality and security boundaries across different languages and frameworks?▼

Code quality assessment and security boundary mapping apply to codebases of various languages and frameworks. The reconnaissance evaluates auth requirements and handler mappings to produce a structured gap analysis report.

How do I generate an API mapping and data model catalog for project onboarding?▼

Generating an API mapping and data model catalog requires mapping all endpoints across services, including auth requirements. This backend reconnaissance provides a full architectural view to inform onboarding and migration tasks.

Does backend reconnaissance work for auditing security boundaries and auth requirements?▼

Backend reconnaissance works for auditing security boundaries by mapping auth requirements and handler mappings across all services. It enumerates routes and middleware to assess code quality and readiness for handover.

Why use a structured report for backend migration and gap analysis?▼

A structured report for backend migration provides a gap analysis to assess code quality and readiness for handover. It inventories middleware, data models, and dependencies to enable a clean project takeover.
