FAQPage Schema

How do I manage STX stacking pots on the Stacks mainnet via CLI?▼

You can manage STX stacking pots on the Stacks mainnet via CLI by using commands to list available pots, retrieve on-chain state, join pots, start stacking, claim rewards, and cancel pots. Write operations require an unlocked wallet to sign transactions.

How does contributing STX to a stacking pot work?▼

Contributing STX to a stacking pot works by executing a join-pot write operation that locks your STX for the stacking cycle. You must have an unlocked wallet to sign the transaction, and the contribution must respect the pot's configured minimums.

When do I need to trigger the start-pot command for PoX stacking?▼

You need to trigger the start-pot command for PoX stacking during the prepare phase once a pot is full. This action initiates the stacking process for the contributed STX and requires an unlocked wallet to sign the transaction.

Can I cancel a pot and recover my contributed STX before stacking begins?▼

Yes, you can cancel a pot and recover your contributed STX before stacking begins. The cancel-pot write operation reverses the contribution, but it must be executed prior to the start-pot phase and requires an unlocked wallet.

How do I claim sBTC rewards if my pot is selected as a VRF winner?▼

To claim sBTC rewards when your pot is selected as a VRF winner, you execute the claim-rewards command. This write operation processes the reward distribution and requires an unlocked wallet to sign the transaction.

What on-chain state details can I retrieve for a specific stacking pot?▼

You can retrieve a stacking pot's full on-chain state, including its current locked value, participant count, lock status, configurations, and pool details. This read-only data gathering helps monitor pot conditions before committing STX.
