SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This Skill creates isolated git worktrees so feature work can happen without disrupting the current workspace, branch state, or baseline testing.

Core Features & Use Cases

It selects the right worktree directory by checking existing project conventions and user preferences. It verifies project-local worktrees are ignored before creation to prevent accidental commits of workspace files. It auto-detects common project setup steps and checks that tests pass before development begins. Use it when starting new feature work, delegating implementation, or preparing a clean branch-specific environment for parallel tasks.

Quick Start

Ask the agent to set up an isolated git worktree for your current feature and confirm the project starts from a clean, tested baseline.

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I set up an isolated git worktree for parallel feature work?▼

Creating an isolated git worktree involves selecting a directory based on project conventions, verifying gitignore protection, running setup steps, and confirming a clean test baseline before starting feature work.

Why do I need an isolated git worktree instead of a regular branch?▼

You need an isolated git worktree to separate feature work from your current workspace, ensuring baseline testing and branch state remain undisturbed during parallel tasks or delegated development.

How do I prevent accidental commits of workspace files when using git worktrees?▼

Prevent accidental commits of workspace files by verifying that project-local worktree directories are properly added to gitignore before creating the isolated environment.

Can I use git worktrees for delegated development tasks?▼

Yes, git worktrees are suitable for delegated development because they prepare a clean branch-specific environment with safe isolation and verify tests pass before implementation proceeds.

What's the best way to verify a clean test baseline before starting feature work?▼

Verify a clean test baseline by using an isolated worktree setup that auto-detects project configuration, runs setup steps, and confirms tests pass before development begins.

Does setting up a git worktree disrupt my current repository workspace?▼

Setting up a git worktree does not disrupt your current repository workspace because the Skill creates safe branch-level isolation to keep existing workspace files and branch state protected.
