SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Align teams around roles, decisions, and communication to avoid ambiguity and project delays.

Core Features & Use Cases

Stakeholder Map: identify stakeholders, map influence vs interest, and categorize roles.
RACI Matrix: define Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed for key decisions.
Decision Framework: specify input requirements, decision rights, and conflict-resolution pathways.
Communication Plan: outline cadence, channels, and feedback loops.
Feedback Protocol: standardize how feedback is captured, prioritized, and acted upon.
Use Case: during kickoff, align on who does what to prevent scope creep.

Quick Start

Create a kickoff artifact with a stakeholder map and a draft RACI matrix to start alignment.

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I align stakeholders and clarify roles to prevent scope creep during a project kickoff?▼

To align stakeholders during kickoff, create an artifact with a stakeholder map and a draft RACI matrix, categorizing roles by influence versus interest and defining who is responsible, accountable, consulted, and informed for key decisions to prevent ambiguity.

What is a RACI matrix and how does it improve cross-functional decision-making?▼

A RACI matrix improves cross-functional decision-making by explicitly defining Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed roles for key decisions, establishing clear decision rights and conflict-resolution pathways across product, design, and engineering teams.

How do I set up a communication plan and feedback protocol for design governance?▼

Establish design governance by outlining a communication plan that specifies cadence, channels, and feedback loops, alongside a feedback protocol that standardizes how input is captured, prioritized, and acted upon across cross-functional reviews.

When do I need a stakeholder map for cross-functional reviews?▼

You need a stakeholder map for cross-functional reviews when identifying stakeholders to categorize their influence versus interest, ensuring the right people are involved in governance and preventing miscommunication and project delays.

Can I use this approach to resolve conflicts and define decision rights across product and engineering teams?▼

Yes, applying a decision framework specifies input requirements, decision rights, and conflict-resolution pathways, effectively aligning product, design, and engineering teams to prevent miscommunication during governance and reviews.

What's the best way to standardize how feedback is captured and prioritized for design decisions?▼

The best way to standardize feedback for design decisions is implementing a feedback protocol that defines how input is systematically captured, prioritized, and acted upon, ensuring alignment and preventing delays across cross-functional teams.
