What problem does it solve?
Adds a StarMapper badge to the current repo's README by detecting the repository owner and name from the git remote and inserting a ready-to-use HTML block in the correct place.
Core Features & Use Cases
- Detects OWNER/REPO from the git remote (supports both HTTPS and SSH formats) and uses them to generate the correct badge URL.
- Finds the README at repo root (README.md) and falls back to readme.md or README.rst if needed.
- Determines the insertion point (before the first separator --- or before sections like Installation / Getting Started) and inserts the full world map block to ensure visibility.
Quick Start
Run StarMapper to insert the full world-map badge into the repository README after detecting OWNER/REPO from git remote.
