SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

This Skill helps researchers choose the correct statistical tests, verify assumptions, interpret results, and report findings accurately, reducing errors and improving the rigor of scientific studies.

Core Features & Use Cases

Test Selection: Guides you through choosing appropriate frequentist or Bayesian tests based on your data and research question.
Assumption Checking: Provides workflows for verifying statistical assumptions (normality, homogeneity, etc.).
Effect Size & Reporting: Assists in calculating and interpreting effect sizes and reporting results in APA style.
Use Case: You have collected data from an experiment with three groups and want to compare their means. This Skill will guide you to select ANOVA, check its assumptions, and report the results with effect sizes.

Quick Start

Use the statistical-analysis skill to select the appropriate test for comparing two independent groups with continuous outcomes.

Frequently Asked Questions about statistical-analysis

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I choose the right statistical test for my research data?▼

To choose the right statistical test, you must evaluate your data characteristics and research question. This skill guides researchers through selecting appropriate frequentist or Bayesian tests, such as t-tests, ANOVA, or regression, based on specific data inputs.

What is the best way to check statistical assumptions before running an ANOVA?▼

Checking statistical assumptions requires verifying conditions like normality and homogeneity before running tests like ANOVA. This skill provides guided workflows to help researchers check these assumptions, ensuring the rigor of scientific studies and reducing analytical errors.

How do I report statistical results in APA style with effect sizes?▼

To report statistical results in APA style, you need accurate formatting and effect size interpretation. This skill assists researchers in calculating effect sizes and generating APA style reports for frequentist and Bayesian methods.

Can I use Bayesian hypothesis testing instead of frequentist methods for my experiment?▼

You can use Bayesian hypothesis testing as an alternative to frequentist methods. This skill supports both approaches, guiding you through test selection, assumption checking, and result interpretation for common statistical tests including t-tests and ANOVA.

Do I need prior statistical knowledge to use this guided analysis workflow?▼

Prior statistical knowledge is required because this skill demands an understanding of statistical principles and data characteristics. It uses this foundation to guide the correct application of tests, verify assumptions, and interpret effect sizes accurately.
