FAQPage Schema

How do I lend and borrow assets on the Sui network?▼

To lend and borrow on the Sui network, you deposit assets to mint cTokens, add them to an obligation as collateral, and then borrow against that collateral with LTV-based risk controls. Suilend enables this within a single governed lending market.

What is a cToken and how does it work for lending?▼

A cToken is minted when you deposit assets into a lending market on Sui. You deposit these cTokens into an obligation to use them as collateral, allowing you to borrow other assets while earning interest on your supplied liquidity.

How do I manage liquidation risk for borrowed positions on Sui?▼

You manage liquidation risk by maintaining a healthy loan-to-value ratio for your obligation. Suilend uses oracle price feeds to monitor positions, and liquidation mechanics trigger risk checks to protect the protocol when LTV thresholds are breached.

Can I earn liquidity mining rewards while borrowing against collateral?▼

Yes, you can earn liquidity mining rewards while borrowing against your cToken collateral on Sui. Suilend provides these rewards for maintaining healthy positions within its lending framework.

What do I need to start borrowing against my deposited Sui assets?▼

To start borrowing, you need to create an obligation, deposit assets to mint cTokens, and then borrow against your cToken collateral. This allows you to use the borrowed funds while keeping your original position risk in check.
