Metatags like [Verse], [Chorus], and [Bridge] go only in the Lyrics field, each on its own line before the section it controls. Putting them in the Style field causes them to be ignored or misinterpreted by the model.

Enable the Instrumental toggle in Custom Mode, which is the only reliable way to remove vocals in v5. For extra insurance, add [instrumental only, no vocals, no adlibs] in the Lyrics field and avoid vocal descriptors in Style.

In v5, bracket modifiers like [verse: soft] affect dynamics, tone, and mic proximity as structural control, while parenthetical directions like (soft sigh) are performed literally as stage directions. Use brackets for structure and parentheses for atmospheric guidance.

Suno v5 has a hard 200-character cap on the Style field, and exceeding it truncates mid-word, producing garbled output. Keep tags concise, avoid contradictory descriptors like lo-fi plus crisp, and front-load the most important tags.

Generate the initial section first, then use the Extend feature from the last section and add [Bridge] and [Final Chorus] metatags for the new material. Keep style tag order consistent across extensions to avoid style drift in v5.
