SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

Dispatch parallel subagents to handle independent problem domains, enabling concurrent investigation and faster resolution.

Core Features & Use Cases

Dispatch one agent per independent domain to avoid cross-domain interference
Maintain isolation by not sharing state between agents
Aggregate results and verify changes before integration
Use Case: when 3+ failures span different subsystems and can be addressed in parallel

Quick Start

Dispatch one spawn_agent task per independent domain and review all agent results together.

FAQPage Schema

How do I run parallel subagents for independent tasks in Codex CLI?▼

To run parallel subagents in Codex CLI, you dispatch one spawn_agent task per independent problem domain, ensuring state isolation between agents to avoid cross-domain interference and concurrently resolve tasks.

When should I orchestrate parallel agents instead of using a single agent?▼

You should orchestrate parallel agents when you have 2 or more unrelated failures or independent tasks spanning different subsystems that can be pursued concurrently without sharing state.

How do I aggregate results from parallel subagents after execution?▼

After parallel subagents complete execution, the orchestration process provides a consolidated results report, allowing you to review all agent outputs together and verify changes before integration.

Does dispatching parallel agents require a specific environment or setup?▼

Dispatching parallel agents requires a Codex CLI environment equipped with spawn_agent capability to properly execute isolated concurrent investigations across independent problem domains.

What are the limitations of using parallel agent orchestration for workflow automation?▼

The limitation of parallel agent orchestration is that it requires strict domain isolation; tasks with shared state or dependencies cannot be dispatched concurrently without risking cross-domain interference.
