SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

What problem does it solve?

This audit helps founders uncover and challenge every cost and revenue assumption in their business model, surfacing hidden risks before they scale.

Core Features & Use Cases

Structured eight-category checklists that guide analysis of costs (Personnel, OPEX, CAPEX, COGS) and revenues (revenue targets, funnel, pricing, growth).
Confidence tagging (Known, Estimated, Unknown) to quantify certainty and spotlight critical unknowns.
A complete, auditable assumptions map that supports scenario planning, risk mitigation, and faster decision-making.
Real-world example: a startup revises payroll, licensing, and conversion-rate assumptions to identify a break-even path.

Quick Start

Outline your business model and start the eight-category audit to produce a complete assumptions map.

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I audit business model assumptions for hidden cost risks?▼

To audit business model assumptions, use structured checklists covering Personnel, OPEX, CAPEX, and COGS to surface hidden cost risks before scaling. This process tags confidence levels and flags critical unknowns for risk mitigation.

What is the best way to identify revenue assumptions in a startup business model?▼

Identifying revenue assumptions involves analyzing targets, funnel conversion rates, pricing, and growth scenarios. A structured audit categorizes these revenue drivers and highlights critical unknowns to improve scenario planning accuracy.

How do I map startup costs and revenue for scenario planning?▼

Mapping startup costs and revenue for scenario planning involves auditing assumptions across eight categories to produce a complete map. This map quantifies certainty with confidence tags and flags risks for faster decision-making.

Can I test my business model assumptions for break-even scenarios?▼

Yes, you can test business model assumptions for break-even scenarios by auditing payroll, licensing, and conversion-rate estimates. This structured analysis outputs an assumptions map with confidence levels to identify a viable break-even path.

What categories should a startup assumptions audit cover?▼

A startup assumptions audit should cover eight categories: Personnel, OPEX, CAPEX, COGS, revenue targets, funnel, pricing, and growth scenarios. This structured scope ensures comprehensive risk evaluation across the business model.

How do I quantify unknown risks in my business model projections?▼

Quantifying unknown risks in business model projections requires confidence tagging across cost and revenue assumptions. Categorizing estimates as Known, Estimated, or Unknown spotlights critical gaps and enables targeted risk mitigation strategies.
