tao-codebase-wiki eliminates stale project documentation by automatically updating per-directory WIKI.md files after merges, so each TAO session starts with the latest code context.

  • Self-updating per-directory WIKI.md: Reads git history to regenerate <dir>/WIKI.md grouped by top-level directory.
  • Cost- and safety-aware updates: Guards token budgets per directory and respects a kill-switch file to bypass updates gracefully.
  • Programmatic, automated, and ad-hoc triggers: Runs via a post-merge GitHub Action, a CLI with a --since ref, or a Python API call.
