SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION & REQUIREMENTS

💡 This Skill includes references (resource) components.

What problem does it solve?

Decompose high-level tasks into actionable subtasks and plans.

Core Features & Use Cases

Automatically parse a high-level objective and transform it into a structured task graph with subtasks, deliverables, and milestones.
Classify each subtask into types (code, research, design, ops) and estimate effort and dependencies.
Generate an owner-ready execution plan with tasks order, parallelization hints, risks, and acceptance criteria.
Works standalone or as part of goal-ops workflows to accelerate team alignment and planning.

Quick Start

Provide a high-level task description such as "Launch a data-cleaning pipeline for quarterly reports" and the autopilot will produce a detailed plan.

Frequently Asked Questions about task-autopilot

High-intent search queries and answers about installing and using this skill.

FAQPage Schema

How do I break down a high-level project goal into actionable subtasks?▼

To break down a high-level project goal into actionable subtasks, provide a brief objective and the system automatically parses it into a structured task graph. It classifies each subtask by type, estimates effort, identifies dependencies, and produces an owner-ready execution plan.

What is automatic task decomposition for project planning?▼

Automatic task decomposition is the process of parsing a high-level objective into a structured task graph with subtasks, deliverables, and milestones. It classifies work into code, research, design, or ops categories and estimates effort to accelerate team alignment.

Can I generate a project execution plan with effort estimates and dependencies?▼

Yes, you can generate a project execution plan with effort estimates and dependencies. The system processes your high-level task, classifies subtasks into specific categories, estimates required effort, identifies task dependencies, and outputs a plan with parallelization hints and acceptance criteria.

Does task decomposition work for project handoffs and direct assignments?▼

Yes, task decomposition works for project handoffs and direct assignments requiring structured execution plans. It applies to goal-ops workflows by generating owner-approval-ready plans with task ordering, parallelization hints, risks, and acceptance criteria.

What is the best way to automate subtask classification for development workflows?▼

The best way to automate subtask classification for development workflows is using an automated task decomposition tool. It parses high-level objectives and classifies each subtask into code, research, design, or ops categories while estimating effort and identifying dependencies.

Do I need external integrations to generate a structured task graph?▼

No, you do not need external integrations to generate a structured task graph. The system works standalone by parsing your high-level objective and automatically transforming it into a structured plan with subtasks, deliverables, and milestones.
